Hello and welcome to the Giant June Newsletter for 2021! I am calling it the giant June newsletter because I have not been sending out my monthly newsletters for a while, so I need to catch you up to speed. The last newsletter I sent out was in February, so if you want to take a peek at it, here it is https://www.victoriamayburybooks.ca/2021/02/05/february-newsletter-for-2021/. I don’t believe I have any other introductory stuff to tell you, so let’s jump into the exciting stuff below!
Giant June Newsletter for 2021
My Exciting News from January
In my January newsletter, if any of you remember, here https://www.victoriamayburybooks.ca/2021/01/15/january-newsletter-for-2021/, I had some exciting news to share with you in February. Well, February came and went, but I didn’t share the information with you. So, now I’ll share it because better late than never!
Last year, I was approached by a group that was interested in my book. We talked a bit, and I was offered a chance to get my book in front of Hollywood. Yes, Hollywood!! I was over the moon, and after talking with my councillors (who are also my family), I took the offer. I do not know what will come of this project, but I thank God for the chance He gave me. Please pray that whatever happens, I continue to wait on God’s timing and will for my writing career.
This past May 22, I officially graduated from my year at the Word of Life Bible Institute in Owen Sound. It was a great year filled with beautiful lessons from God’s Word. If you are considering Bible college, I would highly consider Word of Life. Though I have graduated from Bible college, I still have to go back for my summer practicum in July.
As for my plans to continue school, I am enrolled at Fanshawe college for a one-year course. Also, I don’t enjoy school that much, but I understand the importance of post-secondary training. I encourage you to take some sort of course after high school even if you don’t enjoy or excel at schooling.
Another thing I wanted to address this giant June newsletter because book 2 of the Fire & Ice Chronicles is published! It is super exciting to write those words! The book is called, The Eye of the Storm and is available on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0969362DC/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=Eye+of+the+Storm+Fire+%26+Ice+Chronicles&qid=1622548213&sr=8-1. I self-published the book, but if I get picked up by a publishing company, I will get it published with them. Thank you for your support and encouragement through the months of work. I hope you enjoy reading it!
Because I will be working at a camp in July, there will be no July newsletter. In this giant June newsletter, I will be going over my plans for the next two months.
For June, I will be writing the first draft of book three in the Fire & Ice Chronicles. There will be updates on that on my Facebook page and Instagram. I will also work on promoting the Eye of the Storm on my social media, and if you guys spread the word, that would be awesome! I will also continue to work on the Eden Awnings serial story. How are you guys enjoy that? Please let me know if you want to hear more about it or not.
For July, I don’t know how busy I will be. I won’t have my computer with me so that the website won’t get updated for the month. I hope to work on the first draft of book four possibly, but we’ll see what happens. Please pray that the summer camp goes well and that their learning impacts the kids that come. I also don’t know if I’ll be able to post what is happening at camp due to Covid 19 regulations, but that is something for later.
Anyway, that is all the information I have for the giant June newsletter for 2021. My next one will hopefully be my August newsletter, but that might come a bit late. Thank you for your encouragement and loyalty to read my news.
See you next time!
