Hello and welcome to the October Newsletter for 2020! This has been a strange year to say the least but this past month has been really exciting for me. If you missed last month’s newsletter, you can find it here: https://www.victoriamayburybooks.ca/2020/09/11/september-newsletter-2020/.

October Newsletter 2020

I’m keeping this newsletter short because I have a surprise for you next Monday. Yes, I’ll be writing a little Thanksgiving post for you, my lovely readers. I hope you’re as excited as I am! I won’t tell you anymore about it, you’ll just have to wait and see.

The past month, I’ve been at school close to Owen Sound. It is a great little school (and when I say little, I mean little! We only have 19 students) and I get to live in residence! To some of you, that might not sound overly exciting but it is exciting to me. I have a wonderful roommate who is very kind and caring. All the students have become a bit of a family to each other and since we’re such a small group, we all live in a bubble together! The campus is set in the country and it is so beautiful here! I haven’t been posting as much as I should be on Instagram but a picture just can’t capture the beauty of this place.

As for the schoolwork, there is a lot of schoolwork but it is all really interesting and enjoyable. We are studying the greatest book of all time, the Bible, and you quickly realize that there is a lot more information in it than at first glance. Not all of the Bible is easy reading (some is written in ancient poetry which cool but difficult to understand sometimes) but all of the Bible is worth reading.

We were sent back to our hometowns with an assignment this past week. We were to talk to ten different people about the Gospel (the truth that Jesus died and rose from the grave for all the bad things we’ve ever done or will do (aka sins) and if we trust Him to save us from all our sin, we will live with Jesus forever). Let me tell you that it was terrifying experience but I would trade it for the world. It is quite difficult to get random strangers to talk to you right now but God gave me some people to talk to!

All in all, it has been a great month! I better stop writing while I can, I’m just so excited with everything that has happened. This monday, I’ll be travelling back up to Owen Sound and seeing my friends (whom I’ve missed dearly). I’m excited to see what will happen next!

Goodbye

Thanks for reading my newsletter! Be sure to check out my upcoming Thanksgiving post. Now, I must be off to finish homework, until next time!
