Welcome

Hello and welcome to the September Newsletter for 2020! By the time you are reading this, I’ll be on the way to my “boarding” school but more on that later. As always, if you haven’t read last month’s newsletter, you can find it here: https://www.victoriamayburybooks.ca/2020/08/14/august-newsletter-2020/

Unlike the last newsletter, this time around I have a lot to talk about so let’s get into the September 2020 Newsletter!

School!

Firstly, I must let out my excitement. I’m going to school!! Yay!! Ok, I’m good now. I’ve been so excited to go to a small post-secondary school. I’ve called it many things: boarding school, finishing school, camp but I’ve been so very excited to go. I’m going to Word of Life Bible Institute (also known as Wolbi). To some of you, that might sound boring or something else but for me, it is exciting! There won’t even be thirty students and the school is in the country. It sounds like the perfect setting for a horror movie but my brother (who went there for a year) says the exact opposite!

It is far from London where I live now but the distance is worth it. I will miss my family. I will probably cry myself to sleep tonight but it is time to stretch my wings. Sometimes, it hurts to stretch our wings. I’ll be starting school on Monday and I’m excited! We won’t have to wear masks because we will all be in the same social bubble. At least, that was what I was told but things could change.

I have yet to meet any of my classmates but we’ll be having supper together tonight. I’m still figuring out how I’m going to continue to create content for you, my dearest readers. With school, I’ll have less time to write but hopefully I won’t post anything too late. Still, a bit of patience is always appreciated. I will be taking pictures of the Wolbi campus and posting them on some of my social media. They’ll be mostly posted on Facebook and Instagram since I don’t understand Twitter (what is technology?!).

Wednesday Words

As some of you have probably seen, I did a little something last wednesday. I’ve been playing with the idea of posting twice a week so now we have Wednesday Words. There will be different posts for different wednesdays. Sometimes, it’ll be something wholesome or wacky and so on. I’ll also do other posts like asking people what their favourite book/dream-library/etc is. It is just an experiment but I do hope you guys enjoy it!

Wednesday Words means I have to do more work but if you guys like it then I’ll do it. It was just in time for the September Newsletter for 2020 too! If you have any ideas for other content, please let me know. More inspiration is never a bad thing.

Upcoming Stories Both Short and Not (Wink, Wink)

So, let’s get down to business. For the next month, we’ll have two more installments of Paola’s childhood (here is the first part of it https://www.victoriamayburybooks.ca/2020/09/04/paolas-childhood-part-1/). Then, there will be part two of Ursa Race Lore (here is part one https://www.victoriamayburybooks.ca/2020/08/28/races-of-ursa-part-1/) in that post, we’ll talk about a race that sounds like angels but aren’t. I’m also working on a serial story the first chapter will drop in November. It is a young adult story and doesn’t have any graphic descriptions of r rated stuff. So, yes it is child-friendly. It also isn’t set in the world of Fire & Ice. There, that is all the business.

Did I Miss Anything?

As for other things happening in my life, My grandparents moved in and we’re getting used to living altogether. Ben, my brother, has started school and it is all online which is crazy. I’m going to miss him up north. My grandparents’ cat doesn’t like me very much because I smell like my cat. The cats have little civil wars everyday. It is both adorable and annoying. Let’s keep on praying for this school year because it is a bit different and weird for both the teachers and students. I don’t think I have anything else to say. Check out my Instagram for terribly taken pictures of Owen Sound!

Goodbye

I hope you enjoyed the September Newsletter for 2020. Next Friday, I’ll have Paola’s Childhood part 2. I hope you are enjoying the content from the website. Let me know if you want anything new or different. Please comment or share this with your friends, it really helps to boost my spirits. Thank you for your time!
